MASSAGE THERAPIST – KRISTINE ALLEN, BS, LMP

Kristine Allen

Kristine Allen, BS, LMP

I have been practicing as a massage therapist, in Burlington Wa, since 1993. My initial field of study was Biomedical Engineering, earning a BS in 1985. I have a fascination and awe of the human body and how it works. As I engaged in my own healing process I experienced the profound effects of healing with a focus on the whole system; the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual and how this approach allowed healing on deeper levels, getting to the root of the imbalance.  As this love and deep appreciation for the body’s innate movement towards healing and wholeness grew, I switched my career to massage in 1993.  This allowed me the opportunity to share this knowledge with others and to support them in healing on deeper levels.

As a Massage Therapist I endeavor to meet people where they are and allow their body, mind and spirit to direct the session. I use many different techniques to support people in their healing process including; Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Aromatherapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Swedish massage, Craniosacral therapy (a very gentle approach that deeply shifts soft tissue restrictions), Hawaiian bodywork, Transformational Breath, yogic breathing, stretching and exercises. I often incorporate body awareness exercises, guided relaxation and breathing exercises while people are receiving treatment to encourage them to drop in deeper, or to visualize an outcome of a pending medical treatment.

My specialties are injury recovery, relaxation and personal growth bodywork.
